Ubuntu apt-get не может получать пакеты
Только что установил Ubuntu 13.10 (Saucy) и все, что я пытаюсь установить с помощью sudo apt-get install дает сбой и выдает серию 404 ошибок.
Пример - установка tmux

Не работает ли репозиторий Ubuntu (что кажется странным, учитывая, сколько людей полагаются на него), или я что-то пропустил?

Включить аналогичную проблему.
Это связано с использованием не-LTS-версии Ubuntu, называемой "Конец срока службы". Поскольку они прекратили поддержку. Вы можете проверить, находится ли ваш Ubuntu в конце жизненной версии на этой ссылке.
Простейшим решением является выполнение следующих двух шагов:
- Резервное копирование списка источников
sudo cp /etc/apt/sources.list /etc/apt/sources.list.backup

Откройте исходный файл /etc/apt/sources.list и переименуйте все экземпляры us.archive или архива в
http:// us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/

Также сделайте то же самое для http:// security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/saucy-security/universe/binary-i386/Packages

Я пытался с помощью:
sudo do-release-upgrade
а затем используйте:
sudo apt-get update
после этого вы сможете устанавливать любые пакеты.
Если это не apt.conf попробуйте изменить apt.conf сети в apt.conf

Как раз для любых гуглеров, если вы получаете эту ошибку при создании изображения Docker, представьте команду failing RUN с
apt-get update &&
Это происходит, когда Docker использует кэшированное изображение. Почему кэшированное изображение не будет иметь самую последнюю информацию о репо, во второй раз полностью вне меня, но предикация каждого файла apt-get с помощью обновления устраняет проблему.

cd /etc/apt
mkdir test
cp sources.lst test
cd test
sed -i -- 's/us.archive/old-releases/g' *
sed -i -- 's/security/old-releases/g' *
cp sources.lst ../
sudo apt-get update

переименовать http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/saucy-security/universe/binary-i386/Packages как http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/saucy-security/universe/binary-i386/Packages
$ sudo apt-get update

Это может быть вызвано использованием прокси.
Проверьте, есть ли у вас определения прокси в файле /etc/environment:
cat /etc/environment
Если у вас есть что-либо с http_proxy или https_proxy верхним или нижним регистром, тогда unset каждый из них.

В моем случае не удалось получить be.archives.ubuntu.com (Бельгия), поэтому я создал новый список sources.plist по этой ссылке в соответствии с принятым ответом.
Единственное, что решило это для меня, - это просто изменил страну на Соединенные Штаты при создании sources.plist. Тогда я мог бы запустить это снова.
