расширение ответ Vimvq1987:

return hashValue.ToString(); не выводит нужный вам результат. Вам нужно преобразовать байты в массиве hashValue в их шестнадцатеричное представление.
Может быть так же просто, как return BitConverter.toString(hashValue); (печатает буквы верхнего регистра A-F), или если вам это немного сложнее:
